your as dumb as you look.

prestently listening to:the pretenders

intentions to: get mad. cook, then sew

soberity level: i want chocolate

i hate (most, not all) Junior College Students.

today in my Philosophy class, i was called a racist. we were talking about feminine liberation, then sexism plus racisim, then, some how, racism. someone made the statment that in California, we feel the pressure to be super Politically Correct. there fore , you CAN'T be prejudice, or atleast NEVER admit it. someone else said that we all claim to accept other cultures, but we make no effort to understand them or learn about them.

following these statments, i said that there was a large difference between being Prejudice Tolerant and Accepting. it was in my opinion that to be Prejudice, is to be blindly ignorant. to Tolerate is to recognize and respect a culture, but have no knowlege or understanding of it. and to accept a culture is to learn or experience it. there fore i claimed that MOST californians were tolerant of other cultures, not accepting. hence, to tie it to class, you can't accept a woman unless you recognize her historical past, and realize or experience her roll in society.

i guess somehow the previous comment had sliped over this dumbass' head when he responded with. "if your a racist, say that! i'm not. but don't feel pressured!" this guy proceeded to jump down my throat with "lack of recognition this" and "faked respect that".

fuck that guy! i was making statments in reguards to californians in general and he started attacking me. then, the teacher asks "to tolerate is to put up with? without the want to?"

i wasn't allowed to answer this in my deffense as the dumb jock-o-asshole went into "don't respect me or anyone because you think you have to!"

class ended before i could get a word in and i left looking like the asshole. this was the first and last time i'll ever speak out in that class.

it really hurst me to be called prejudice. i spend SO MUCH of my time and efforts trying not to step on other peoples toes and treat EVERYONE i meet with more respect than i think alot of them deserve...because of who they are! not thier color or societal status.

i hate stoopid people that want to yell at you without listening. they make thier point, but its worthless when they "win" a case without appropriate opposition.
